2009 NYC Tenants Rights HandBook (Excercise Your Power)
A lot of you who are experiencing gentrification and are having issues with your landlord will enjoy this quick short handbook. Lawyer’s and all that can be quite pricey, but this handbook will tell you if you have a case or not for the most part. There are a lot of landlord’s that are very frugal and try to intimidate you especially in low income neighborhoods. A lot of these frugal landlord’s will probably not see you as much of a threat, since you might fall into the “working class family” category that know’s nothing of housings rights. Please check out the handbook or pass this onto someone who you know is going through such a situation. I used it twice in roughly two year’s due to issues I had with 2 separate landlord’s and won both. If it wasn’t for me going through this handbook, I would’ve probably shrugged it off.
